Review: Scoot TR424 SIN-PEN - Premium Selections Meal

From Singapore, I flew to Penang. In this post, I will not review about the flight as I think it just the same with my previous flight (KUL-SIN). You can read my previous SCOOT review here: #FlightReview - Scoot TR453 Economy Class (Kuala Lumpur - Singapore). My flight was TR424 took about one hour to arrive Penang.

What is the different with this flight is, I pre-ordered the Premium Selections Meal. I know that I only had one hour to finish the meal, but I am a fast eater. Actually I am still full with Singapore Laksa I ate at SATS Premium Lounge before I boarded the flight.

The premium selections meal cost about SGD21.99. I know it is a little expensive. But nevermind, I got a cash voucher, that is why I pre-ordered it in the first place. It comes with deluxe hot meal which I chose a Halal Signature Nasi Goreng (Fried Rice) with Chicken Satay, 1 side dishes which is a cold cut of chicken with mayonaise, and 1 Haagen-Dazs Chocolate ice cream.

A few selections of deluxe hot meal to be choose.  For my Signature Nasi Goreng with Chicken Satay, it comes with a baked egg and mouth-watering achar. For my opinion, the Malay style Nasi Goreng is nothing to brag about, but I love the their Chicken Satay with the peanut sauce. But still can't compete with Satay served in Business Class of Malaysia Airlines.

I enjoyed my Haagen Dazs Chocolate Ice-Cream so much. I did not realize that the plane will be landed in a few minutes. I just hope my flight a little bit longer.

 

I do not mind to order the premium selections meal in the SCOOT next time, but it depends on the flying time. If more than two hours, I might pre-ordered it again. Hopefully they come with variety of meal in the future.
