I had been to Singapore many times. That is because of my flight transit to Singapore before I need continue my journey to the next destination. As I always decided to take at least one-night stay in Singapore, I can say that my stop is a little bit staycation style. All I want are just visit a few attractions and do some shopping. In this blogpost, I will share with you my favorite hotel for my short stay or staycation Singapore and plus, my wish list to stay if the world is safe to travel back.
Village Hotel Bugis
There are a few Village Hotel throughout Singapore, but my favorite Village Hotel Bugis. The best about this hotel is their location, located just a few steps to the Sultan Mosque. My previous room view is the Sultan Mosque. Really great view indeed. Additionally, the location is very convenient as many Halal restaurant you can choose around the perimeter and it just a short walk. One of my favorite restaurants is Zam Zam Restaurant where I really enjoy my Singapore Murtabak which is very aromatic, rich with meat and iconic Halal food of Singapore. You should not miss that restaurant when you visit Singapore.
One big bonus of Village Hotel Bugis is they have a Halal Certified restaurant called The Landmark. You are having your breakfast in this restaurant every morning. Can eat with confidence and there are a lot of food choices.
Hotel Boss
Another favorite of mine is Hotel Boss. It is cheaper if you are comparing with Village Hotel Bugis. The room size is a little bit cramp but still can have a comfortable stay. From my room window I can see Sultan Mosque but you need a little bit walk to go there, around 15 minutes for slow walker.
Why I love this hotel as they also provide a Halal Certified restaurant for breakfast which called JUBILICIOUS. Also, love their rooftop garden and the swimming pools. Gloria Jean’s Coffee is located at the lobby of the hotel.
My wish list for my next stay in Singapore
Raffles Hotel
My first wish list is Raffles Hotel. If you watched Crazy Rich Asians, this hotel was where Nick and Rachel stayed when they arrived in Singapore. I love hotel with a historical background and Raffles Hotel is a colonial-style luxury hotel. I stayed in a colonial-building hotel before in Malaysia such as Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur, Eastern & Oriental Penang, and Sterling Hotel Melaka. The stay always giving such pleasure and extra environment. As the hotel is the historical site itself that is why I need to visit and stay at this hotel in my next Singapore visit.
Marina Bay Sands
Another hotel in my wish list is of course Marina Bay Sands. The most iconic building in Singapore. I visited Marina Bay Skypark Deck before, and I love the view from the top of the building. So magnificent. Imagine when I open my hotel room window and the view is the whole Singapore like a painting. Their infinity pool is one of the best, and I really love to dip into it someday. Shopping mall just below the hotel and it is really a bonus. Who does not love shopping just under the hotel you stay?
The Fullerton Hotel Singapore
I mesmerized with the building of Fullerton hotel when I stepped on the Singapore for the first time back in 2010. Unfortunately, I did not have a chance to stay here. Next time, when I am having an opportunity, I will stay here. The magnificent Fullerton Building is a grand neoclassical landmark built in 1928. Gazette in December 2015 as a National Monument, it was once home to Singapore’s General Post Office, the Exchange Room and Exchange Reference Library, and the prestigious Singapore Club. For nearly a century, it played a pivotal role in Singapore’s rich history. Today, The Fullerton Hotel Singapore has been transformed into a stunning 400-room heritage hotel in Singapore.
