Before this hotel re-brand to Summit Hotel Kuala Lumpur, it was named Quality Hotel Kuala Lumpur where I stayed a few times before. Even though the hotel room a little bit run down and old, but it always a very good stay. But my review here are all about Summit Hotel Kuala Lumpur.
We had stayed here for four days three nights. As we are three adults, we booked family room as their mentioned the room suitable to accommodate four persons including breakfast (4 breakfast vouchers). Per night the room cost about RM210+ which I booked through Agoda.com.
Before I decided to book room online, I emailed their marketing department, as I was confused when the hotel online booking showing "Summit Hotel Kuala Lumpur" and ''Leo Pacific Hotel Kuala Lumpur'', different booking page but it actually the same hotel. For your information, Leo Pacific Hotel Kuala Lumpur was the name before they changed to Summit Hotel Kuala Lumpur. But sadly, their marketing department never replied my email. Bad communication though.
For the family room, it is not as good I imagined. The bed is more to 2 super-single bed and not even queen bed. You can see in the photo, that is why they put the pillow behind each other, as if the put the pillow side by side, it may longer that the bed itself. But we do not mind though.
Like I said before the room is a little bit old and rundown. But I think this time it's more rundown than the last time I stayed. Hopefully they doing something soon as to compete with other hotel around.
What we love about here, they served big breakfast. Near Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman, or known as Jalan TAR, only a few hotel that served big breakfast and the room suitable for the big family with the affordable price.
What we love?
What we least prefer?
As we stayed here during Ramadhan, we had our Sahur around 4am-5am. Many table and chairs available and not to pack with people. But after a few days, we just realize the foods choice are kind the same every Sahur. But, we do not mind.
What we love staying near Jalan TAR during Ramadhan, is here known as Shopping Heaven for the incoming Aidilfitri. Plus, during the breaking fast, a lot of food stalls around here with variety of choices. We always bought the food around the Medan Mara and we ate in our room together.
Their twin superior room is quite affordable. You can check online the price. Before I forget, here got decent swimming pool. The view from the elevator (glass wall) is really nice. Also have variety of restaurant such as Chinese restaurant and Indian Restaurant.
