Where to stay in Kota Bharu, Kelantan? | Hotel Perdana Kota Bharu | Review

Hello Kelantan. It had been a while since I was here. The last time I explored Kelantan was with both of my parents for our Taiwan-Terengganu-Kelantan journey on 2017. Now, I am back in Kelantan with Tourism Malaysia Sarawak for the Malaysia Surfcasting Tour 2019 which held in Bisikan Bayu Beach, Tok Bali on 13th April 2019 (on my birthday!). As I spent 4 days 3 nights in Kelantan, I had an amazing stay at Hotel Perdana Kota Bharu for my 1st and last night in Kelantan, and formy 2nd night I had stayed in Tok Aman Bali Beach Resort (in other post), . Let me review more my experiences while staying here.

I flew from Kuala Lumpur to Kota Bharu. From the airport, it was 20 minutes drive to the Hotel Perdana Kuala Lumpur. Luckily it was not a peak-hours. The hotel is not that high and the building itself looks very elegant from the . Once I arrived, I was greeted by the staffs, and the checked-in was smooth. Luckily they upgraded my room to the pool view room. 

 

Hotel lobby is huge and elegant environment. They staffs around the lobby are very helpful and they always smile. What I love about this hotel, all the staffs are Malaysian. For your info, Hotel Perdana, the first premier hotel in Kota Bharu has undergone a major transformation into a luxury hotel. And it is a 5-star hotel.

 

 

 

I got a room on the third floor and there is a lift provided. They hotel have 2 wings of building. My room is so spacious. My room view was the swimming pool. As it was Thursday evening, actually the weekend just started in Kelantan (their weekend are Friday and Saturday), the swimming pool a little bit crowded with family. Plus, there are many food stalls around the pool as there a StreetFood Festival organised by the hotel itself. Unfortunately, I did not have a chance to swim in the pool as my schedule is too tight and I was saving my energy.

Talking about the room, everything 5-stars hotel should have, are in the room. Love the color of their carpet, make the surrounding looks very refreshing with the lime colour. The bed was super comforting. Bathroom was normal, without any bathtub. Love their toiletries. 

For the third night in Kelantan, we were back to stay in this hotel. My room again at the third floor. When I enter the room, there are a welcome letter from the manager to welcome me and it comes with the fresh fruits. Also, there was a fresh flower in RED colour which I do even know the name of the flower. I felt welcomed. After a few minutes, there was a knock in my room, when I opened I was surprised with the complimentary welcomes cakes delivered by their staff. It is delicious. 

As their breakfast, it served at Cerana Coffee House. Variety of foods. As you know, Kelantan popular with 'Nasi Berlauk' for their breakfast. Everybody compliment their Nasi Dagang & Nasi Kerabu, which was amazingly delicious. It is hard to see, live cooking show during the breakfast, but here, they make "LIVE" for "Kuih Puteri Mandi"

Thank you Hotel Perdana Kota Bharu for the excellent services and a warm hospitality during my trip in Kota Bharu. I will be back for sure.
