One of my favorite place to stay in Kuala Lumpur is at the area of KL Sentral. I have a few hotels that I repeatedly stay as it offers very good price and comfortable stay. One of it is Sentral Hotel. Sentral Hotel is located just behind the KL Sentral Monorail Station. You can't miss out the tallest building behind the station.
First thing I would like to talk about it's parking area. One of the best thing about Sentral Hotel is it has its own parking lot. Even though it is quite limited, it is the only hotel that provide car park area in this area. And it is quite safe as the car park in the building itself. For the guest, make sure to get validate your ticket at the reception before you go out. Inside the car park area, the bad things is the corner around the car park, it might has a problem with a big and long car, if you do not want to scratch your car, do not enter. Behind the hotel, there is a open space parking area with the attendance, but you need to pay every time you go out.
The area itself is a very strategic. You can get many good Indian restaurants around, 24 hours convenience stores, even the Nu Central market just a few minutes walk. All I can say, when you staying here, you probably can get everything in a few minutes walk only.
During my stay, the receptionist is good and give me a lot of smiles. I remembered last time I was here, the receptionist is quite rude, luckily I did not meet him again. But I saw him in the other day during his duty.
I stayed in the Superior Double Room, RM120 per night with breakfast for one week. With that kind of price, I think the hotel has offers more from what I had expected.
As my parents stayed here before, and complained to me that this hotel elevator have some problem. When they in the elevator, the lift had go down by itself as they said, the caused of the event was somebody doing a cleaning at the electronic area of the elevator and made the elevator becoming haywire. Luckily, during my stay, I did not encounter any problems with the elevator.
The room is small but it is clean. It is good enough for myself spending a weeks in Kuala Lumpur without rip off my wallets too much. Love the extra pillows, so it makes three pillows just for myself. The working table is not big, but sufficient for me to do some of my work with my laptop.
The view from my room window are magnificent at night. Look at the photos I shot using my Huawei P20 Pro. Room amenities and toiletries are sufficient, everyday they topped up it and cleaned my room.
Bathroom is not that big but very clean. The water heater is good and the pressure was excellent. Both the breakfast, it was good enough, you can choose from 3-4 main dishes. Sometimes I miss my breakfast as too lazy to wake up.
Overall, I do not have any complaints as I know with RM120 for the Superior Room, I can't expect too much. But in return, they actually giving me more with a good service above my expectation. I do not mind to stay at Sentral Hotel next time.
