Review: Malindo Air | Business Class B737 | OD1605 & OD1622 | Kuching - Kuala Lumpur (Return)

At last, after flew a hundred times with Malindo Air, I had a chance to try their Business Class for my return flight Kuching - Kuala Lumpur, which duration of the flight is 1 hour 45 minutes each way.  It started when Malindo Air having a Business Class seats promotion, and I grabbed it immediately. I bought it with the cost of RM500 for return flight. I think it is an excellent deal as a flight to Kuala Lumpur is always expensive even though it is only a domestic flight.

As always, you will get a complimentary premium lounge. In Kuching, I was invited to Kuching Premium Lounge which I had reviewed before. In Kuala Lumpur, you can choose a few restaurants to have a light meal or you can go to KLIA Fast Track Lounge, also I reviewed it in my previous post.

 

You will have 40kg luggages checked-in. Business class checked-in counter is special for you, so you will not queued up too long. The boarding always smooth. Even though  they are using Batik Air, but for me, it is just the same with Malindo Air.

From Kuching, there was somebody else sit next to me and there only a few empty seats in the Business Class. Surprisingly in Kuala Lumpur, I was alone in the Business Class seat. I was greeted with the cabin crew. She politely asked me how I want to be called as my name quiet long and confusing.

As you know, in-flight entertainment for Malindo Air, the movies always out-of-date. But it was no problem as some of the movies are my favourite where I kept repeatedly watching it without getting bored, for an example Devil Wears Prada (shushhhh!). You do not to worry as all the Malindo Air flights have an in-flight entertainment, not like other airlines, which you can be trolled with using the old flight with in flight entertainment.

I can't deny that the Business Class seat is quiet comfortable and spacious. Even in Economy Class seat, Malindo Air offering quiet spacious leg room if comparing to Malaysia Airlines. Screen is not located at the front seat but inside the hand rest compartment, the same as when you seat in Economy class but the most front seat. Screen is big and controlling is easy.

Everything are just a pretty standard Business Class service. For the meal, I was surprise that both of my flight, the choices of the foods are the same. There are always three meals to choose from. Both of my flight the desserts is the same.

OD1605 KUCHING - KUALA LUMPUR MEALS

I chose Thai Green Curry Chicken with rice. Pretty nice looking meal and not too spicy. 

 

OD1622 KUALA LUMPUR - KUCHING MEALS

I chose Special Fride Rice with Chicken Satay for my dinner. The fried rice was plain and nothing special about it. My fried rice is much better than this. Chicken Satays are to dry. Peanuts sauce was okay.

 

For now, my craving to try the Business Class in Malindo Air is completed and everything what I wondered got answered. I will stick to fly in Economy Class, save some money for my travelling. But if they are having another Business Class promotion, I might think about it!
