Review: Palace of The Golden Horses, Seri Kembangan

I had stayed at the Palace of The Golden Horses a few times now. During my university, our college had done the annual dinner at this hotel, and I was dreamed to stay at this hotel from that moment. Now, my dream came true and every time I stayed in this hotel, it felt so privacy and like it's name, felt like staying at the palace and I am the prince waiting for my Cinderella.

You will be welcomed by the golden horses statues at the roundabout of the hotel entrance. But that are only a few of the horses statues. You will encountered more and more once you go inside the hotel. I am not really impressed with the hotel lobby and I saw many hotel lobby which more grand and luxurious. The staffs was very helpful and luxurious with the sweet smile. I felt welcomed instantly. They are also friendly and I felt comfortable around here.

I stayed in the twin deluxe room. The beds are super single bed and as always, it is super comfortable. The beds, cupboard, and table are very English style, with the quality of woods and it's been professionally crafted. Still sticking with the concept of horses, you can find it anywhere in the room, for the example the table lamp.

I am very impressed how spacious the bathroom in these room. Complete with the bath tub. The amenities also good, but they can give more as Malaysian having a shower a lot each day, one shower gel and shampoo are not enough for a day use.

My room complete with balcony and overlooking the lake. It was quite relaxing and very greenish view. As not so many people staying here, most of the next block are very dark at night. So spending the night at the balcony is not a good idea. I suggest, the hotel can light up more room so the hotel looks alive and not to dull and dark.

For the facilities, they have a very big pool which quite full on the weekend. The gym also excellent just next to the pool. From my room, I need to walk around 5 minutes to go to the pool as its located at the end of the building.

Actually, the most impressed about this hotel is their architecture. It is really like a palace. It once very luxurious and popular during 20s era and been hosted many kings, queens and presidents around the world who visited Kuala Lumpur that time, one of it is Queen Elizabeth.

If you are looking for foods, at this hotel there are a few excellent restaurants and cafes awaiting for you. First, you can take a bites of cakes and a coffee at for your tea time at the Carriage Cafe. Yes, it is looking alike a Cinderalla Carriage.

If you are looking for a Chinese Cuisine, go ahead and try KIMMA Restaurant. The foods there are excellent and cooked by the best chef.

And if you are Japanese foods fans, KIN NO UMA restaurant awaiting for you. All the dishes are made from fresh ingredient. I missed my bento, sashimi and tempura set there. It just perfectly made for you.

Carousel is where you go for your breakfast or if you are looking for Malay dishes for the dinner or lunch.

The mines shopping mall are just next to the hotel. You can go there with style by a boat shuttle. But it is not in the complimentary which mean you need to pay by yourself. Its bring you from the hotel direct to the mall, through the lake.

I am very glad spending every minutes at the hotel. It just a good experiences. I do hope this hotel will improved to compete with more modern hotels nowadays.
