If you have only less than 5 hours in Dubai, where should you visit? It is not possible if you follow this guide.

PENGENALAN
INTRODUCTION

My last trip in Dubai, I safely arrived in Dubai around 11pm and my next flight was around 2.30pm the next day. I reached immigration counter almost 12am and the Metro service had been closed.

Tetapi disebabkan perkhidmatan Metro telah tamat, jadi aku terpaksa untuk menukar rancangan segera dan “make it work”.
My early plan was that I will overnight at Dubai Youth Hostel (RM100+) for dormitory. Because of the metro closed, I need to change my plan immediately and make it work.

I do not want to use taxi as I was on budget. I decided to overnight at Dubai Aiport and the next morning will start visiting city of Dubai.

Sleeping at the Dubai airport was uncomfortable experience. You only can sleep at the chair at he arrival hall. All the chairs had been attached with arm rest which made your sleep horrible.

Sempat aku menikmati Burger King di airport, harganya mahal, lebih kurang RM50 satu set *pengsan*. Apakan daya perasaan dah membuak-muak untuk makan burger.
I was having my supper at the Burger King, very expensive, around RM50 for 1 set of meal *fainted*. What can I do because I really wanted to have burger!

In the morning, I woke up around 6.30am. Clean myself at the toilet nearby and went to Metro staton around 7am. I need to go back to the airport around 12pm. So I only had time less than 5 hours exploring the city.

I bought NOL card Silver which cost AED25, the inside value is AED19. NOL card is really suitable for the visitor which have less visiting Dubai.

Places that you can visit in 5 hours

1.    Dubai Mall
(Metro Airport Terminal 3 – Dubai Mall, 14km, 30 minutes, AED2.30)

To go to Dubai Mall from airport is easy. Only stopped at the Dubai Mall station. Dubai Mall is one of the biggest shopping mall and many of the branded shop here. I arrived at Dubai Mall in the morning, most of the shop still closed. Inside this mall is where you can buy the ticket to the Burj Khalifa’s observation deck. You can buy some sourvenier in here.

2.    Area outside Dubai Mall to take photo with Burj Khalifa

If you are following the sign of Dubai Fountain, then you will arrive at the most strategic places to take photo with Burj Khalifa building. Who does not want to take photo with the tallest building in the world right? Too bad, there was no musical fountain operated. Around here, there are unique bulding called Souk Al-Bahar.

The next vising is Jumeirah Mosque. This mosque is one of the famous Dubai landmark. Why? Because this mosque offered a guided tour everyday at 10am. The fee only AED10, the registration start from 9.45am  and close at 10.05am. For your info, Jumeirah Mosque is one of 2 mosque in UAE that opened to non-muslim, 1 more is at Abu Dhabi, which is Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.

4.    Burj Arab
(To get here: Ride X28 bus from where you arrive at Jumeirah Mosque, go out after the 7th stop from the Jumeirah Mosque, station called “Wild Wadi”, please do not stop at Burj Al Arab Hotel)

Do not forget to take picture with this unique building and one of the expensive hotel in the world. For the most strategic places to take picture, go backward past the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, turn left at the first road.

From the Al-Fathidi station, you need to walk around 10 minutes to Dubai Museum. You can ask around to get to this museum.
