I had been dreaming and planning to visit Sapa for a few years. At last, I had a chance visit my dream place. I decided to spend 3 days and 2 nights in Sapa. I love every bit of moment while I was here. The whether was amazing and the view was really magnificent. Some more, I had stayed one of the best home stay I stayed so far, which called Miku Chill House.
Staying at one of the Black Hmong tribe is one the thing you must do when you in Sapa. You can submerse into their culture and experience the local tradition. Miku Chill House is located on Hau Thao Hill, around 8km from Sapa town. To find the homestay a little bit tricky at first, but once you know the location, then there would be no problem at all but if you had a problem, you can always contact them immediately. Just for your info, their GPS coordinate (N 22* 18'23.7", E 103* 53'45.8").
This wooden house is actually located on a hill where you need to go the hill a little bit from the main road. Chill House mean that you can relax and chill out around the house. Miku, the host is really friendly and very helpful. She is the best host together with her helper, Jamie.
Jamie introduced me with this homestay. He is actually work voluntarily with the homestay. He picked me up from the bus station. He also welcomed me with the Sapa special coffee which is really good the this cold whether.
I had stayed in the double room. It was very lovely if you are consider the house. It come with mosquito net, remind me when I went back to my village. During night, the weather is really cold.
The most best time to socialize with others and Miku family is during the dinner. Miku cooked specially for you. You do not need to go out for the dinner as Miku cooked the best dishes.
In the morning, when you go out, the view is mesmerizing and absolute stunning. Rice terraces just front of the house. Sitting of the front porch while awaiting for the breakfast is felt like you are in the dream. Fresh air and served with the hot pancake are good combination to start your day.
Adorable kids around the house makes your stay more meaningful. They are absolute cute and very hardworking studying and doing their homework. You can train them by speaking English with them.
To go around, Jamie lend me his motorcycle for me to wander around. Trust me, it is hard for me to leave the house as relax at the house absolutely lovely rather than wander around.
If you have a chance, I suggest you to stay here while you are in Sapa, and you will know what I mean.
