After a few days in Singapore, I decided to go to Penang as that was the only cheap flight I found as I bought it for the last minute. It been a while since my last visit in Penang. As I only spend 2 days and 1 night in here, I had decided to try something different and a little bit extreme for my self. It is THE GRAVITYZ!
The Gravityz is a new attraction in The Tops. The Tops is located in a KOMTAR building which is the highest building in Penang. As it names, it is located at the tops of the building. To my surprise, a lot of attractions in here. But I specifically decided to overcome my fear with The Gravityz.
There is a discount for Malaysian, only RM149 per person and if you are Penangite, it is only RM99 and as for foreigner, the standard price is RM209. If you asked me, I think the price is quite reasonable, as most the extreme activities around the globe are expensive.
Make sure you book online for the available slot as its tend to be always full. Each group, there will be maximum of 6 persons. Just for fair warning, if you having a heart problem or extremely afraid with height, I advised do not give a try.
Normal procedure, you need to sign a consent form before start. Then, you need to rent locker to put your items. A pretty expensive for the locker rental (RM10). But if you are in a group, you can share the locker.
A briefing carried out for about 10 minutes. Then, you will provided with safety harness, and safety helmets. For the handphone, make sure you have a bag for it so it will not fall down, including your camera.
Outside, there are many obstacles to go through. Just follow your instructor instructions and try to do your best for each obstacles. My heart was really pumped really fast. The most scary part for me is the flying fox, its too high! Luckily it is just a short distance.
Anyway, when you are in Penang, you should really try this. Once in a lifetime. For me, it is worth every penny. I have overcome my fear! How about you?
