Review: Best Holiday at Berjaya Langkawi Resort

Langkawi the infamous tourism destination in Malaysia, a tropical island that rich with its natural beauty, history and cultural heritage. Known as the Jewel of Kedah, Langkawi which located in north-west of Malaysia is a duty free island makes it one of the best destination for cheap vacation and shopping.

One of the best place to stay in Langkawi Island will be at Berjaya Langkawi Resort. Around 20-minute drive from the Langkawi International Airport, you will arrived at the resort which will very much surprise you with its beauty and greenery.

Berjaya Langkawi Resort have a very large area, surrounded by nature at every turn of the resort. You will really appreciate how they preserved the green environment while making it a very nice place for your holiday with great facilities and various activities to do.

They offer several room options depending on your need and preferences. I had the opportunity to stay at their Premier Chalet where it is located a bit up on a hill in beautiful tropical rainforest. If you love to be surrounded in greenery (and monkeys too :P), this would be a good choice for you.

From the balcony, you will have the best view of the resort with sea in the background especially during sunrise. If you prefer to stay close to the waterfront, you can choose the Premier Suite On Water or the Executive Suite. With the Premier Suite On Water, obviously your room will be over the open water and you will have your own private jacuzzi with sea view. Pretty cool right?

The dining options that they have are interesting too. They have several restaurants and bars that offers their own unique cuisine. My personal choice would be dinner at Pahn-Thai Restaurant, that serves authentic Thai cuisine. The food was really good and the whole setting of the restaurant is nice too especially with the view during sunset.

But if you not really into Thai cuisine, you can have Western or Indian cuisine at Beach Brasserie, Oriental Pearl for Chinese or Japanese menu, and Dayang Cafe for good local authentic foods. So you have various options to choose and enjoy your great dining experience while staying at Berjaya Langkawi Resort.

In the morning after having your nice breakfast, try to walk along the beach and enjoy the beautiful morning sunshine. If you are interested into any sport activities, they also have banana boat, kayak, parasailing and few other fun sports for you to enjoy. We had so much fun riding their banana boat! If you don’t mind to get fancy, you should try Sunset Dinner Cruise by Tropical Charters. It is a 3 hours cruise on the Andaman Sea with free flow drinks during the whole trip and nice dinner meal. Have the luxurious and romantic experience chilling by watching the sun go down with your loved ones. For Rm275 per pax, for me it is really worth it. Other than all the activities I mentioned above, you have a lot more interesting things to explore around Langkawi. Along the Cenang Beach area, there are lots of restaurants and shops that you can shop around for cheap. If you want to see an amazing scenery of Langkawi from the peak of Gunung Mat Chinchang, take the Langkawi Cable Car and walk along the Langkawi Sky Bridge.
