Review: Riverside Majestic Hotel | Kuching, Sarawak

I had a plan to have a staycation at Riverside Majestic Hotel in Kuching for a long time. Luckily I got invited as the invited media to cover the event of Kuching Waterfront Jazz Festival 2017. As my schedule is free that time, I am agreed to go plus I can go back to my hometown even though it is only for a few days.

 

Riverside Majestic Hotel is a one of the five stars hotel in Kuching and one of the pioneer of its kind in here. It strategically located at the famous Kuching triangle area, and just across the famous attractions of Kuching which is The Kuching Waterfront.

  

Same building with the Riverside Shopping Complex. I still can remember during my teenagers time, Riverside shopping Complex is one of the popular place to hang out and to go during the weekend. Plus, I was a very good bowling player during my secondary school and I went to the Superbowl at the fifth floor everyday for the training.

 

The checked in was smooth and I immediately got my room key. I stayed in the Deluxe room for 3 nights and I got a king bed for myself. The room is super spacious. The interiors mostly equivalent alike a resort room mostly using the crafted wood. It's very luxurious style during the 90's. Carpets are clean.

For me, the television a little bit small for this kind of spacious room. Owh, and I brought my PS4 to kill some time in the hotel. I love the writing table, big enough for me to do my work.

For the bathroom, good amenities provided including the body lotion. Bathtub also available. Everyday house keeping will make up and clean my room. I am really satisfactory with their service, as I left many gadgets in my room, nothing being lost and the put aside properly.

 

I only having a breakfast on the last day as I want to have an extra sleep since every that during the festival, I was so tired and slept very late. I am very impressed with the variety of the foods in that morning. But I decided with the cliche breakfast menu which is the normal American breakfast. Love the scramble eggs and siew mai though.

 

As the shopping mall just next to the hotel, you can have your dinner and lunch at the mall itself or you can hang out at the Kuching Waterfront. I did not have a chance to try their swimming pool but I can see the view is magnificent with overlooking of the parliament building.
