Takoyaki (たこ焼き or 蛸焼) (literally fried or grilled octopus) is a popular ball-shaped Japanese dumpling or more like a savory pancake made of batter and cooked in a special takoyaki pan (see below). It is typically filled with diced or whole baby octopus, tempura scraps (tenkasu), pickled ginger, and green onion.

In modern days, it became common to be brushed with takoyaki sauce and mayonnaise, and topped with green laver (aonori) and katsuobushi (shavings of dried bonito). There are many variations to the takoyaki recipe. For example, ponzu i.e. soy sauce with dashi and citrus vinegar, goma-dare i.e. sesame-and-vinegar sauce or vinegared dashi.

It was first popularized in Osaka, where a street vendor named Tomekichi Endo is credited with its invention in 1935 under the influence of Akashiyaki. Takoyaki was initially popular in Kansai but later spread to Kanto and other areas. Today, it is popular in many areas throughout Japan. Takoyaki can be purchased in many street food stalls (yatai) but today there are many well-established takoyaki specialty restaurants/eateries that are very popular. Osaka and the Kansai area is particularly famous for it. It may be often sold in many commercial outlets, e.g. supermarkets or 24-hours shops. In addition, frozen takoyakis are even exported to many overseas countries.

Yaki is derived from "yaku" (焼く) which is one of the cooking methods in Japanese cuisine, meaning "to fry or grill", and can be found in the names of other Japanese cuisine items such as teppanyaki, yakitori, teriyaki and sukiyaki.

Location: Asia » South Korea » Tong Yeong » Holly's

Hallo...
Ketemu lagi

Next, aku nak continue pasal Tong Yeong lagi....
Kat trip lepas
aku sempat singgah kat
sebuah kedai yang ala-ala Starbucks la

yang diberi nama Holly's Cafe
Owner dier of course tak lain tak bukan
Kak Holly namanya...
hahahhaaa.....

First rule...
wajib ada wi-fi...
yesss...mmg ada...
costumer pun sedang-sedang
not to full not to empty

so very suitable lah for me to chillax
sbb aku tak tau dah nak kemana
so aku melayani handphone aku jelah
ada Wi-Fi...
dpt skype... free jahhh!

aku order Ice-blended...
aku korea pelik tengok aku order ice blended
sbb cuaca sejokkkk.....
why not hot chocolateeee?

Ice-blended RM18...roti RM18.... =RM36...mahal!
then aku order satu roti
kat display mcm menarik n berbaloi
tapi tak pun..... mcm rasa makan angin je roti tu
sbb isi takde sgt... dier just kembang je lebeyy...

Ice blended around RM18
Roti tu pun arounf RM 18
so, overal dlm RM36...
mahal!!!

Aku restaurant korea nie,
kalo kat kedai self-service
after we order,
dia akan bagi satu device tau...
device tu macam rupa pelapik cawan tu...

kalo order kiter dah siap,
benda tu siap vibrate lagi
then akan kluarkan lampu LED nya

mula-mula aku blur gakla...
nape plak alat tu tetiba2 vibrate
sbb mula-mula aku tanye kat korean tu
dia hantar kat meja ke,
die ckp yaaa....
tak expect la plak bende tu vibrate...
ingatkan souveneir ke....

Then korean kat sini, boleh la bercakap english
bukan macam kat japan

South Korea | Episode 03 | Tong Yeong again + vBlog

Location: Asia » South Korea » Tong Yeong

vBlog: I was talked about Tong Yeong, South Korea

Ahn-nyung-ha-se-yo!!!
Bermaksud selamat datang in korean...
Pasar basah Tong Yeong
Tong Yeong oh Tong Yeong
Kenapa engkau terlalu bosan
untuk dijelajahi.....

Pasar Basah di Tong Yeong, nak beli ikan banyak...

Last trip, on Sept 2011
Actually the schedule pegi Pyeong Taek,
but re-route pegi Tong Yeong plak...
So, this was my 2nd time trip....

Kat sini pun banyak jual buah-buahan
Tong Yeong.... bandar yang agak kecik
berapa di selatan, South Korea

Rasanya, kebanyakan pekerjaan org disitu adalah nelayan kot
sebab yang paling "UP" aku tengok kat situ
adalah pasar basah nyaa...
banyak betol juak ikan yang pelik-pelik

But yg obvious sekali diorang jual ikan belut hidup-hidup
pernah rasa belut tak?
hows the taste ek?

September, but the weather agak sejok
actually musim luruh kan now?
sebab aku tertengok poster
"Fall Collection"

Motip aku kat Korea adalah
beli barang-brang main Pororo for my anak buah aku
So, dari patung, baju, sweater, mini aeroplane
semuanya aku beli,
asalkan ada gambar PORORO
coz anak buah aku minat sangat PORORO
PORORO tu orignally from Korea

Walaupun hanya bandar yang kecil, tapi agak busy & kenderaan pun agak banyak
Pakaian kat sini takde pilihan sangat
agak bosan jugak lah
ade kedai baju, but fashion org tu...
macam fashion zaman-zaman jepon
weirddddddd

then satu lagi yg pelik kat Tong Yeong nih,
mane pegi nye teenagers ekkkk?
maybe diorang semua lepak kat bandar kot.....

Kedai jual barangan elektronik
yang ada kat situ kebanyakannyalah
0-17thn.... then terus 30-nak mati tahun.....
umo 18-29 mcm tak wujud je kat situ
manelah mereka menyorokkan...
sebab itulah aku assume diorang pegi bandar
then jadi artis KPOP!! hehehehe

Lagi kedai jual barangan elektronik yang murah
Tourist attraction langsung tak menarik
maybe takda kot
Barang pun not really cheap

oh...ada yang murah, lupa plak...
barang-barang electric
jenama LG, Samsung
agak murah la kat situ
sbb negara asal dia kannn
seperti Malaysia jugak
PENSONIC murah kannnnn?
huuhuhh

Posing di luar Lotte Mart
Ada jugak yg best nya kat Tong Yeong,
eventhough agak tidak maju...
Tapi Wi-Fi merata-rata ada....
senang aku nak berskype ke, Berfb ke, berWhatsApp ke...

So, Tong Yeong,
this is not my last time to visit...
Insyaallah, nanti dtg lagi la tuuu!!!
