KL Pass "Night Out Deal" Gives Tourist and Locals an Evening of Dining & Entertainment in the City

The KL PASS® Night Out Deal is the latest promotion from the KL PASS® Team that offers tourists and locals a night out of dining and entertainment in Kuala Lumpur. The promotion combines three predetermined night experiences for tourists that include dinner at the Coliseum Cafe followed by watching MUD The Musical and then on to Zouk Club to party into the night.

Priced at just RM99.00, the KL PASS® Night Out Deal offers savings of up to RM82.00. The special promotion is available for sale from now till the 31st of March 2017, although purchasers will be given till the end of April to utilize their passes. Purchases can be made online at www.klpass.com , and their passes can be collected at the Kuala Lumpur City Gallery beside Dataran Merdeka.

The KL PASS® Night Out Deal aims to provide tourists and locals with a complete evening experience that begins with dinner and ends as late, or early, as they wish. The “night out” begins with a four-course dinner at one of the city’s oldest cafes in operation. An icon of the city’s colonial era, the Coliseum Café is already well known amongst KL-ites for its unique colonial style décor, ambiance and signature western fare. Patrons just need to present their KL PASS® Night Out Deal card when ordering for verification by the café staff. Valid pass carriers will be served with a four-course set meal that begins with the soup of the day.

The entrée is a long-standing favourite amongst regulars at the café, the signature Hainannese Chicken Chop that is served with a side of thick cut potato chips. What makes the Hainanese Chicken Chop a classic is the Coliseum Café’s signature sauce that gives it a sweet and sour tang. This dish is a perfect example of fusing the western chicken chop with an Asian style sauce. The dessert that follows is another Malaysian favourite; fried banana fritters with ice-cream. Each set also comes with a choice of coffee, tea or a carbonated drink.

Having consumed a sumptuous dinner at the Coliseum Café, take a short stroll down Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman to the Bandaraya Theatre (Panggung Bandaraya) located just beside the iconic Sultan Abdul Samad Building affront Dataran Merdeka. Home to MUD The Musical, the Bandaraya Theatre is over 100 years old and has an ornate interior to match its period architecture exterior.

The show is colourful and entertaining for the whole family. Set in the 1800s, it tells of the early settlers who came and built the town on the muddy confluence of the two rivers that later became known as Kuala Lumpur. The audience will learn of the booming tin mining industry that attracted people from near and far to the town in search of their fortunes and to realize their dreams.

The show starts at 8.30pm every day and ends just before 10.00pm, giving patrons plenty of time to make their way to the Zouk Club for the final part of the “Night Out Deal”. Once at Zouk Club, skip the queues and head straight to the counter to verify your KL PASS® “Night Out Deal” card to gain entry with a complimentary beverage.

Enjoy MUD The Musical with KL PASS

The benefits of the KL PASS® “Night Out Deal” doesn’t end there. Although the “night out” benefits can only be used for one evening, like all other KL PASS® cards, the holders are entitled to the special discounts and offers provided by a host of shopping and dining establishments in and around the city. Celebrate CNY 2017 at KIM MA - Award Winning Chinese Restaurant with Fusion Traditional Chinese Cuisines

Last weekend, I had opportunity to have a lunch at Kim Ma Restaurant, one of the restaurant in the majestic Palace of the Golden Horses. When stepping into the restaurant, I was awed with the interior of the restaurant with its modern Chinese design. Decoration oozes the concept of elegance and strength, with poise and beauty that is fitting of their symbol and name of the restaurant, Kim Ma translates to Golden Horse in Mandarin. I can’t wait to taste their dishes as they are an Award Winning of Chinese Cuisines.

The restaurant’s 5 private rooms are plush and luxurious. Sofa sets are placed at the front for guests to chill with pre-dinner drinks before adjourning to the dining area at the back. Kim Ma has a seating capacity of 120 including the 5 private rooms. 1 of the private rooms is one of my favourite because of exquisite carving of the furnitures.

We had been introduced with the Executive Chinese Chef Chris Lim, a very good looking and young chef who responsible to create the fusion of traditional Chinese cuisines with a contemporary twist. He said he get his inspiration from the beautiful surrounding of the Palace of the Golden Horses hotel. After hearing about the menu that will be serve, we just can’t wait to have our lunch.

The first dish was of course Yee Sang. When we talked about the fusion, Yee Sang will not be exempted. Be prepared with the most unique and refreshing Yee Sang ever. It is mixed with the fresh fruits including strawberries and dragon fruits. Sound good right? Yeah, let me tell you, usually I will have one or two bites of Yee Sang, but for this, one plate is not enough for myself. It is always good to start your dishes with fruits.

Second dish was Chef Chris Lim famous Double-boiled Minced Chicken Broth with Morel Mushroom and Fish Maw was a typical example of the man’s genius. One would never guess that the delicate creamy layer floating by the side of the soup bowl was actually minced chicken and not tofu. It had the light silky texture of beancurd or whipped eggwhite – it’s mind-blowing how that could have come from minced chicken! I can eat this everyday… plus this is the favourite dish for the owner of Palace of the Golden Horses, Tan Sri Lee Kim Yew.

Third dish was Pan Fried Australia Lamb in Mongolian Sauce with Honey Mint Salad. At first, I was quite worried with this dish, because I am not fan of a lamb. The lamb was well done and the Mongolian sauce is kind of sweet and sour sauce. Actually, the special about this dish is the sauce because usually, lamb always served with mushroom or black pepper sauce, but with this Mongolian Sauce plus Honey Mint Salad, it had balanced the taste of the meal. Surprisingly for non-lamb lover, I finished my plate and I can say that this lamb was superb and for a while, I was forgot that I was eating a lamb.

The fourth dish was good like the other three dishes. It was Braised ‘Ye-Fu’ Noodles with Sautéed Canadian Scallops in Lobster Broth. The broth is riches with scallops and lobsters flavours and you need to mix up the noodles with the broth before you eat it. It was an excellent complicated dish.

The last was dessert. We had served with Homemade Organic Soya Bean Milk with Water Chestnut and Glutinous Rice Dumpling. It was good and not that sweet. It reminded me with Bubur Cha Cha.

Just for your information, KIM MA restaurant have their set menus promotion during this upcoming Chinese New Year 2017. Do check them out. You will be amazed with this Award Winning Restaurant and with their fusion of traditional Chinese cuisines with a contemporary twist.

Experience the Virtual Reality at VR Lab Malaysia

Still remember the movie ‘total Recall’ when Arnold Schwarzenegger went to this cool place where people can go to places they want without worrying about plane tickets and stuffs. Well yes! kinda.. Get ready for the journey of your life because you are in for a treat. As you all now might have known VR or Virtual Reality has been quite a thing in the Youtubers world where you see people going on roller coaster rides and even killing zombies.

I present to you Malaysia’s first VR theme entertainment hub, the VR LAB was establishment somewhere in 2016 armed with Malaysia’s most enthusiast VR team that will guide you to a journey of a lifetime, a place where you can do anything for the VR world is yours, but don't worry you can share it with your friends and even people around the world.

It is an experience that for sure will make you crave for more, it is the most intense and hands on (by hands on I mean literally both hands). Equipped with the latest HTC VIVE VR headsets and programs that you can choose from. I’ll say it's a dream workout for gamers throughout the world well in this case Malaysian gamers, for those who are Dota fanatics you are in for a ride because you can be in the game as part of the champions that adore as for me Bloodseeker is the choice or even Pudge.

You could even become the next Picasso or even Da Vinci himself but this time it’s in 3D where you can create art the only limit is your imagination. Care for a new job experience? Well yes of course there’s a simulation for it.

Have you ever feel like how’s does it feel like to be in a room where you need to find clues to escape and you have only a little time if not… bye bye? Or even boxing with an AI, it’s the best workout  ever! So realistic you feel it in your arms.

Something simple would like maybe walking of a plank from a tall building or maybe walking into a room filled with cockroaches walking around you (the bug that we all love).

Horror would be one of the most recommended genre’s that would the highlight to be played, you can kill zombies like ninjas with Katanas and even kill them with guns. The best cool thing is there’s even a zombie killer clown, like it’s not worst when they’re alive right? Erghh clowns out of many things. You could even become the pizza guy who was trapped with 3 cute dolls that goes around and stalking you from behind and catches you and of them is a cute clown with red nose and big red shoes.

I’d love to tell everything about the VR experience but I don't want to become a spoiler,  why not you experience yourself at the VR LAB which located not only in SS2, Petaling Jaya but even in Publika, Bandar Sunway, Manjalara, Kota damansara, and even Wangsa maju. Who knows it might be just across the street you’re staying.

But the biggest and the latest VR LAB is located in SS2, Petaling Jaya that has over 10 rooms to pick, from single room to VIP room which varies of VR game genres like:

Arts & Design

Ouwh did I mention that they provide service for birthday parties and even corporate events with affordable price. VR LAB is a one stop centre anything that is related to Virtual Reality, you can even purchase the headset at VR LAB.

Currently there are few branches of VR Lab Malaysia around Klang Valley, which are:
